Horizontal expansion of UNITED's MarTech offering through Marketing Resource Management
Continuing on its consistent growth course: UNITED Marketing Technologies by DuMont has acquired 100 percent of the marketing resource management provider MARMIND, headquartered in Vienna. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. UNITED brings together a group of specialized and successful marketing technology companies such as censhare, facelift, quintly within the media and technology company DuMont. In addition, it acquired Artegic a few weeks ago. MARMIND thus covers the initial (planning and budgeting) and final (results) phases of the marketing process and thus represents an important strategic addition to the UNITED offering. Forrester recently awarded the software as a “Strong Performer” in the MRM Wave.
“UNITED is growing continuously – quantitatively and qualitatively. MARMIND is a particularly important strategic acquisition for us,” said Dr. Christoph Bauer, CEO of DuMont and Chairman of the Advisory Board of UNITED. “MARMIND completes our MarTech portfolio with the dynamic growth field of Marketing Resource Management. More importantly: MARMIND connects UNITED-Point Solutions with each other, thereby promoting additional advantages for our customers and thus consistently strengthening the future viability of our MarTech offering as a whole.”
MARMIND is a best-of-breed solution which offers planning, budgeting and measurement of results on a central platform. Its services are aimed at all companies that cannot achieve sufficient transparency about their own marketing performance due to the large number of tools, channels and users. MARMIND assumes the role of a meta-control platform, enabling more transparent and holistic global control of all marketing measures, resources and budgets. Companies such as Deutsche Telekom, Stihl, Mondi, Sharp NEC and Lufthansa have relied on MARMIND for many years in order to combine planning, budgets and results on a single platform and safely control their marketing processes. The company currently employs around 45 people at its Vienna, Graz and Chicago locations.
MARMIND management, led by Patrick Moser and Gerhard Kragl, will continue to focus on further development and international scaling of MARMIND and will continue to develop within the UNITED Group. Peter Ramsenthaler, the company’s founder, had already handed over management of MARMIND to these two managers in 2021. He has been appointed to the UNITED Advisory Board. “It is an honor for us to continue to develop as part of the UNITED Group and to grow together,” comments Peter Ramsenthaler. “UNITED stands for successful and market-leading customer solutions throughout Europe. With MARMIND, we can make an important strategic contribution here. I look forward to working on the advisory board of this outstanding group.”
“Initial experience with the censhare partnership, which we announced at DAM New York in September of this year, already show the potential benefits for our customers in conjunction with the other UNITED companies. Our combination of core competencies enables a complete end-to-end solution offering for the market,” adds Gerhard Kragl, Managing Director of MARMIND.
